Develop project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards
Deliver this information in clear and concise statements of work for the field
Proactively supervise project related staff to ensure proper administration of a job
Potentially supervise two or more Project Managers in their daily tasks
As needed train Project Managers in the company philosophy and systems
Help in the preparation including estimating and negotiating of all change orders
Maintain all required documents and logs to track the progress of the assigned projects
Train and effectively supervise a Project Assistant in the maintenance of project required tracking devices
Act as primary liaison with client and A/E
Monitor construction activities with the project Foreman and Area Superintendent to ensure quality progress per the project documents
Act as lead representative related to any serious situations and take corrective actions as needed within company guidelines
Lead company/project meetings with clients and subcontractors
Prepare all monthly reportsM
Manage the financial aspects of contracts (progress billing, rental equipment, income/expenses) to protect the company’s interest

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or other related discipline
PE license a plus but not required
Must have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in electrical project management
Must have advanced knowledge of construction technology, scheduling, equipment and construction means and methods

Proven experience mentoring and managing others
Business development/heavy client interaction a plus
Ability to understand and follow standard operating policies and procedures
Ability to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance
Extensive knowledge of safety protocols and procedures
Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); Oracle and Accubid preferred
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary
Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude
Effective oral and written communication skills as required for the position
Ability to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player
