| Vice-President / Senior Asset Manager (Dallas) |

The position is based in Dallas and reports to the Executive Director of Asset Management. This individual will be a critical member of the senior investment team and will work closely with both Asset Management and Acquisitions professionals to ensure that assets are acquired and managed to maximize return on the portfolio. The Senior Asset Manager will oversee and manage strategic operating partner relationships and real estate assets across a range of property types.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Establishment and implementation of strategic plans to meet investment objectives and enhance value
Management of relationships with joint venture operating partners
Execution of individual strategies to optimize operating performance and enhance asset values and financial returns for each investment through oversight of joint venture partners, third-party contractors, and others
Oversight of the financial and operating performance of the firm’s investment properties with a focus on maximizing value and financial return for the funds, separate accounts and investment partners
Oversight and supervision of supporting analytical staff in support of asset valuation and third party appraisals; construction and capital projects; property inspections; hold/sell analysis; due diligence and asset financings; client reporting
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 10 years relevant experience
Experience managing investments at both the entity and asset level
Significant experience in the Texas and Southwest markets
Ability and interpersonal skills to effectively manage staff providing guidance and assistance to maximize operating results
Experience with a wide range of property types
Excellent oral and written presentation skills
Outstanding financial analysis, underwriting and negotiations skills
Strong market knowledge and ability to make decisions based on actual or projected market changes
Impeccable integrity, trustworthiness, and reputation within the financial and investment community
Ability to add value to all activities of the firm
Creative and strategic thinker with a strong intellect and a proactive, entrepreneurial style
Collegial personality and ability to operate effectively in a matrixed environment
Undergraduate degree required; MBA preferred
COMPENSATION:
The Vice President, Senior Asset Manager must be a high performing individual with outstanding academic and professional credentials which would indicate potential for success with the organization. As such, the compensation plan for this individual will be commensurate with the skills required of the position, and will be negotiated to attract exceptional candidates. Compensation will be comprised of a base salary and bonus based on firm and individual performance.
