Leads project teams in the development or redevelopment efforts within the region. Works closely with Regional and Group level management and leasing colleagues to optimize project design and maximize project financial success.

Responsibilities include:

• Develop scope of project
• Explore opportunities for development or enhancements of projects
• Establish and direct project teams
• Be responsible for coordination of outside resources (architects, consultants, engineers and contractors)
• Be responsible for coordination of in-house resources (legal, asset management, design and leasing)
• Be responsible for obtaining approvals and work with government entities
• Be responsible for department store negotiations and approvals
• Be responsible for review of all proformas and cash flow analyses
• Be responsible for monthly updates to executives of status on development projects
• Prepare other financial analyses
• Interview and hire new employees

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in real estate, architecture, or related degree required; MBA desired or other relevant advance degree preferred
• 8 years retail experience
• Basic understanding of all areas, including leasing, construction and operations
• Must be able to lead cross functional team
• Direct supervisory experience and successful project team leadership skills
