Purchasing Manager: Residential Construction (Houston)

Position Summary: Responsible for management of the Purchasing Department, reviewing all Purchase Order and Variance Reports and providing explanations and corrective courses of action. Provides weekly progress report to division management. Trains estimating staff, costs out all models, builds and maintain budgets, negotiates with vendors and signs up to company contract, maintains all scopes of work, and all architectural drawings.

Job Requirements: College degree preferred. 10+ years experience in homebuilding, 5 or more in purchasing/estimating. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and know one or more industry specific estimating/costing systems.
