Join a group of 3 others in the purchasing group for a mid-size suburban commercial Boston area general contractor with projects in the $10 to $50 million range. Responsibilities:

• Generates preliminary budgets and establishes product features and options.
• Bids out onsite construction; negotiates subcontractor increases as appropriate. Negotiates and contracts with subcontractors and other vendors.
• Ensures timely and expedient processing/receipt of vendor/national contract rebates.
• Generates and circulates house budgets. Analyzes market and delivery conditions to determine present/future material availability and receipt of competitive pricing.
• Prepares and issues Purchase Orders and change notices.
• Reviews Purchase Order claims and contracts for conformance to Company policy.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years experience in construction background with experience in any areas
• Bachelors degree with concentration in Construction or Business
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Background in health care and higher education projects $5million + in scale
