New York City Commercial Construction Candidate

Our candidate has 33 years of New York construction experience, cutting his eye teeth with Turner in the late 70s early 80s. He went on the become an AVP/Project Executive with Skanska running many of their larger commercial projects and in 2004 was drafted by a national General Contractor to run their Northeast Region. He was very successful and brought them two large residential projects as well as other opportunities in the region. In late 2005 the national Corporate office made a decision not to move directly into the New York City market against what the candidate was promised when he signed on so he took what was a great opportunity with a major developer on Long Island to run their emerging 3rd party construction company. They wanted to leverage his New York City network and experience to garnish a portion of work there. He made great inroads into potential relationships and JV work with major players. The CEO is now considering closing the Construction Division to focus more on development and our candidate is entertaining other career opportunities.
