Responsibilities:

• Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, adaptation and modification of standard techniques/methodologies
• Understands architectural concepts and is able to assist in developing the design with respect to the concept
• Incorporates other disciplines (MEP systems, construction methods, budget) into the design process
• Coordinates consultant documents including plans, estimates, and reports
• Evaluates and selects materials (consults with the manufacturer's representative)
• Understands the constructability of design in context of building systems, codes, materials, etc.
• Reviews submittals/construction site
• Mentors less experienced staff which includes assisting in training, making recommendations, answering questions

Qualifications:

• Registered architect or actively working towards registration
• Advanced 3D/CADD skills
• Minimum B.A. Architecture
• Develops relationships in broader design community and pursues continuing education
• Capable of working with minimal supervision
• Works effectively with team members
• Demonstrates maturing skills in construction services
• Contributes to a positive office environment
• LEED AP and good softball player is a bonus
