Land Acquisitions Manager : Residential Construction (Charleston)

Company: National homebuilder

Position Duties: Identify, analyze and coordinate acquisition of desirable properties required to meet division’s goals. Perform preliminary financial & risk analysis to evaluate and select properties to pursue which meet division acquisition criteria. Negotiate terms and conditions to purchase properties in collaboration with senior management, and outside legal counsel. Perform comprehensive due-diligence investigation and pro-forma analysis of properties under contract to purchase in cooperation with internal departments such as; forward planning, land development, purchasing, marketing and finance. Summarize findings of due-diligence investigations and pro-forma analysis into a professional package for review and decision action by senior management. Monitor and take action to comply with key performance items established by the executed purchase and sale agreement regardless of occurrence pre or post close of escrow.

Job Requirements: BS/BA degree, preferably in real estate and land use, business, economics, management or related field of study. The ideal candidate will be goal oriented and have at least 5+ years experience as a Land Acquisition Manager. Understanding of macro & micro homebuilding market trends is required. Expertise in land development process, procedure and costs is preferred. Exceptional negotiation, oral and written communication skills, integrity and leadership attributes are required.
