My client is a large property management firm who is looking for a construction project manage to work out of their Providence, RI and Waltham. MA office. The optimal candidate will have a B.S. degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and 5-10 years + in Project Management. The individual should have a core competency working with mechanical / electrical and infrastructure systems in mission critical environments such as corporate facilities, healthcare and data centers. Advanced working knowledge of MEP systems, permitting requirements, infrastructure item lead times, critical path scheduling, sequencing and scripting of equipment installation / removal and project cost estimating.

- Fire Life Safety systems
- Building Management systems
- Large capacity HVAC
- Data Center environmental units (humidity and temperature control)
- Experience with construction, UPS systems, critical infrastructure, electrical, mechanical , all a requirement
This person will:
- Manage all phases of project management including design, construction, occupancy, quality control, staffing, and budget management.
- Interface with clients to define project requirements. Establishes project work plan and deadlines. Creates persuasive presentations that meet the project’s objectives.
- Track progress of projects against goals, objectives, timelines, and budgets, and generates reports on status. Monitors expenses to ensure they fall within the prescribed budget.
- Manage all facets of project design, construction, and occupancy.
- Manage project team by providing direction and leadership.
- Facilitate client meetings regarding project matters.
- Work closely with other functional areas of the organization, project contractors, internal team members, external collaborators, customers and suppliers.
- Other duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages a work unit and/or group. Responsible for identifying training needs, tracking performance, coaching, and motivating direct reports. Responsible for hiring, terminating, compensation, and performance evaluation.
