SR Clarke is retained by an architectural, engineering, and interior design firm seeking full-time electrical engineers. Engineers will work on a variety of tasks including lighting system design, power distribution, short circuit analysis, load calculation, and emergency power. This position is located in Washington DC. The office works on a variety of building types to include radio stations, renovation of historic buildings, new construction in the high science technology requirements of healthcare, higher education market and high rise buildings.

Requirements:

• Experience in AutoCAD is a plus.
• Must be an EIT or have a degree that may lead to a PE.
• 5-10 years experience preferred

SR Clarke, Inc. clients seeks ability over years of experience, but generally this person would have 5-10 years in the profession and have their PE license. The position could expand in responsibility and role if someone with more than 10 years is available. I must stress that this position is for a "do-er", it is not a manager position though the responsibilities would include "manager" type tasks such as leading the electrical activities on a project without direct supervision. The primary responsibility will be to design power systems for the type of projects we do and interface with the client and other team members. Technical CAD support personnel will assist the candidate in creating the plans for the design. The candidate would work as park of an integrated team comprised of architects and other engineers. Self motivation is important along with a passion/enjoyment in what they do.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to work collaboratively in order to integrate engineering with architectural is crucial.
