S.R. Clarke Newsletter: July 2008
Dear Friends,
We receive many questions concerning the candidate application process. We want to assure everyone that we thoroughly review all resumes submitted to us. Many are immediately acted upon. However, some well-qualified applicants do not have the background to match one of our active searches. Either way, we want to assure you that we haven´t forgotten about you. We´ve looked at your materials; most likely the same day you emailed them. Let me share with you how we act upon each submission that we receive.
Our administrative staff reviews all inbound applicant emails. In order for a candidate to be passed to the recruiting department, the resume must meet specific criteria. For instance, candidates must be employed in an industry and in a position where we make placements. They must have a stable job history and appropriate experience in their industry. There are also other client-specific criteria that apply to particular job orders where we need to evaluate unique candidate qualifications.
Some candidates whose resumes get passed to the recruiting department get contacted right away if their background matches a job search that a recruiter is actively working. The recruiter will quickly reach out to the candidate in order to see if he/she is a good fit for that particular position, or for other current or prospective searches.
If the candidate is qualified for a future position, but not a current one, they will be contacted by a recruiter as time permits. This might or might not occur upon receipt of their resume. Quite often, really good candidates that we place with client companies do not hear from us right away. Therefore, a prospective candidate should not assume that we´ve rejected them or we´ve never received their submission if not contacted immediately after sending it to us.
If you are a job seeker looking for a new opportunity in Construction, Real Estate Development, Architecture, Engineering, or Information Technology, please send us your resume in order to be considered for a new opportunity. If you are a company looking to fill a key position, let us find that person for you.
Sincerely,
Spencer Clarke
President, S.R. Clarke
