In our last newsletter, we announced the launch of the S.R. Clarke Video Interview system. All candidates applying for an open position listed on our website can submit a video interview to accompany their information. I believe that candidates who complete a video interview will have greatly increased the likelihood of being hired by one of our clients. Here is why…
A very critical step in our recruiting process is the presentation of candidate information to our client at the time when we have found them an excellent prospect for their job opening. Previously, candidate presentation consisted of:
· Sharing the candidates' resume.
· Relaying pertinent information gleaned from candidate / recruiter conversations.
Now each of our candidates can supplement our presentation with a video interview that we will use to better market them to a potential employer. Also, our clients can now use video interviewing as an additional method of deciding which people they wish to meet.
Candidates should know that employers don’t hire resumes; they hire people. An excellent resume might land a candidate an in-person interview, but an excellent resume supplemented by well-crafted video answers to client questions can be the tipping point that leads to a successful hire. Candidates who do a video interview will have a strong competitive advantage over those who don´t.
Each of our clients may utilize the video interview process in any way that assists their candidate selection process. Clients are able to ask each prospective candidate any relevant question that they feel is important to their hiring decision. Video interviews also allow everyone involved in the employment decision to review and discuss each interview at their leisure.
