Dear Friends,
By now, you've hopefully filed your Federal & State Tax Returns for 2006.
Line 7 of Form 1040 is where you list your wage/salary income for the year. I encourage you to look at that number and compare it to the same number on your 2005 return. Is the number higher, lower, or about the same?
Now, reflect on your work circumstances in 2006 and compare them to 2005. Are the changes in your work circumstances properly reflected in your compensation numbers? Did you take on more work responsibility? Did you book more business? Did you complete a higher volume of projects?
If you accomplished more in 2006 but your accomplishments aren´t reflected in Line 7 of your 1040, you potentially have a problem. If you've felt this way for several years, chances are your current employer won't ever meet your expectations.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all those who have been touched by this tragedy.
