Position Summary:
Plan, organize, direct and control the operating functions of the company including pre-construction engineering services, estimating, project management, and operations. Responsible for reviewing estimates; cost to complete; evaluation and selection of subcontractors; and manages project managers and superintendents to insure control of cost, schedule, scope, safety, and quality of work. Establishes and maintains positive relationships with customers and subcontractors.
Essential Responsibilities:
Develop and implement procedures for developing customer base through solicitation and bid preparation.
- Develop, review and approve budgets, plans, and goals for the control of planned production, budgeted spending, labor efficiency, material efficiency, engineering effectiveness of capital spending, customer service, order entry, quality and human utilization.
- Analyze operating reports and records. Take corrective actions to improve as necessary.
- Maintains a work environment that complies with all safety and regulatory requirements in relationship to employees, products, and customers.
- Develops strategies and tactics based on knowledge of business policies, practices, trends, information, competition, and branding strategies.
- Conducts regular visits to project sites.
- Ability to hire and staff qualifies people. Values and uses talent to maximize individual and organization potential.
- Builds effective teams through fostering open discussion, ensuring member participation, holding members accountable, and empowering the team. Creates a common mindset or common challenge.
- Ability to set priorities and accomplish tasks on time.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or related field preferred but not required.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of successful operations/executive management experience in electrical contracting or related industry experience including a minimum of four (4) years as a Senior Project Manager.
- Experience directing the operations of a merit shop enterprise.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Strong business communication skills, both oral and written.
- Possess effective personnel and interpersonal communication skills.
- Have efficient knowledge of large-scale, high-growth operations.
- Have efficient knowledge and experience in implementing enterprise-wide change.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field preferred.
