Superintendent (Frederick, MD)

   

Superintendent for growing Fredrick Maryland General Contractor

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to protect and promote the interest of the company in all matters and take actions as required to satisfy responsibilities, which include, but are not limited to, those listed below.
  • Oversee, and be responsible for all aspects of managing the division: construction process and quality control, budgets and staff scheduling, mentoring and developing the project teams.
  • Maintain ongoing communication and build relationships with the owner, architect, and engineer to assure smooth operations and business development continuity.
  • Continuously cultivate and maintain positive relationships with sources for lead generations (A/E's, lenders, consultants, trade associations, etc.) and facilitate the office-wide and company-wide proactive cultivation of relationships.
  • Take a proactive approach to initiating suggestions for improving operations.

Minimum Requirements

Preferred:

  • Must have an interest in out of ground building and high end interior finishes.
  • At least 5-10 years related construction experience with increasing responsibility.
  • Must have mastery of the following operational and project skills: project cost, schedule, contract negotiation, bidding process, change order procedure, engineering (including critical lead times), staff needs and availability, job problems and plan of action to correct, jobsite correspondence, and conducting job-related meetings.
  • Demonstrated success in managing or potential to manage: multiple projects and senior project managers, multiple client relationships, project operations without direct supervision and within company policy and practice, total profit and loss responsibility, and movement of personnel among projects and assignments.
  • Demonstrated success in mentoring and staff development.
  • Ability to manage, lead and interact with a diverse group of people
  • Knowledge of “green ” building practices helpful
