Mixed-Use Office / Retail Development / Construction Manager Jobs (Dallas)

Qualifications Preferred:

• Possess a broad understanding of each architectural, engineering and construction disciplines
• Experience with mixed-use combinations of office/retail/hotel/enterainment structures
• Effective leadership skills
• Effective computer skills; Microsoft Office and other Company and discipline specific software applications
• Effective communication skills
• Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
• Personal drive, initiative and resourcefulness, and ability to work well in a relatively unstructured work enviornment with little supervision.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Preapre planning programs for development projects including expected results, i.e. size, start and completion dates, preliminary budgets, total anticipated project costs, financial goals, etc.
• Assist in procurement of architectural, engineering, contracting and related disciplines for the complete development/construction process
• Assist in preparation of all contracts for the development/construction process
• Verify and check all invoices, billings and change orders to these documents
• Participate in the development/construction process including the oversight of the design, cost estimating, scheduling and all related and necessary activities to bring the process to a successful conclusion
• When and where possible, create innovative design, construction and purchasing, scheduling, etc. solutions
• Develop and implement recovery plans for off-schedule projects and unanticipated events
• Interpret plans and estimate costs and quantities of materials needed to assist contractors.
• When necessary assist contractors with construction methods and procedures
• When necessary assist contractors with the supply of labor and materials
• Oversee contruction site and direct architects, engineers and contractors to make sure costs, standards of building performance, quality, cost schedules and safety and other project standards are maintained an accomplished
• Study architectural and engineering documents for accuracy and compatibility with project program and goals.
