Mechanical Construction Manager (Metro DC)
   

The Client is a mid-sized full service Mechanical Contractor in the metro DC/MD area. They are an established firm in business for over 30 years and have revenues in excess of $25M. They currently have a very high sense of urgency for a Construction Manager to run and grow the Construction division of the company.

The successful candidate MUST have over eight years experience in the Mechanical Contracting industry and MUST have prior experience in running the day-to-day operations for an “at risk” Mechanical Contractor. The experience should include the ability to manage operations, office staff and be responsible for the financial management including P&L reporting; cash management; and business management functions to insure the overall profitability of the group. Their average projects range in size from $500K to $4M and larger. A degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management is Preferred.

Experience should include a mix of commercial, institutional and light industrial projects including offices; tenant fit-outs; renovations and new construction. The company does not do any plan & spec projects, the majority of their work is design-build and negotiated.

Experience with job cost tracking and cost codes are essential and required for consideration in this position. This individual will be involved in marketing; business development; purchasing; estimating; engineering and other responsibilities consistent with those of a Construction Manager and/or General Manager. Salary is commensurate with experience and they offer a very competitive compensation program including the opportunity for management incentive compensation.

There will be annual reviews and potential for continued growth and advancement. The successful candidate will also have excellent people skills, a great attitude and able to multi task.
