Director of Accounting (Maryland)
   

Are you looking and wanting to advance your career? Looking to report to a mentor who actually cares about people? This 70m international communications firm maybe the firm you want to work for.

Duties:

  • Must have proven skill set in G/L, A/P, A/R, P/R and financial Statements + internal controls. You will also learn the analytical side of accounting.
  • Will supervise 4-5 staff.
  • Review and approve month-end close journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Manage stock option plan, including grants, exercises, cancellations and repurchases of stock options.
  • Directing international accounting operations.
  • Supporting and backing up the Vice President

Requirements:

  • Degreed in accounting . CPA with experience in a regulated environment preferred
  • GAAP
  • Experience with FASB standards and SEC filings
  • Computer literate
  • 4-8 years of supervisory experience. Proven ability to manage and develop staff
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
